Moxie Fab World Challenge

I haven't been able to participate in a Moxie Fab World challenge for quite some time. I actually can't recall if I've even participated before, to be honest. This latest challenge, Glitter is Glam, was just one challenge I couldn't let slip by. I used a lot of scraps for this little tag, starting with some kraft paper and some paper from the Making Memories Noel line (I think) from last year. I used my Making Memories Slice to create the snowflake, then glittered it up with some Martha Stewart glitter after running it through my Xyron. The musical background is a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, a company no longer in business these days (sad face). The snowman and sentiment is a cute little Inkadinkado dollar stamp I picked up at Impress recently. Fun, fun, fun! I need to participate in these challenges more often!

Gift Card Holders

I designed my next class around gift card holders. I wanted to come up with lots of creative, but simple ways to package up a gift card. This is one of the designs I chose NOT to use for my class so I'm gonna share it here with you instead. I don't know if I like this combination of Popsicle Pink, Squash, and Swiss Red, which is one of the reasons I chose not to use it as a class design. The Ginger Delights and Sweet Houses cling sets are among my favorite of A Muse's holiday stamps this year. Maybe it's because of all the baking I do around the holidays.. I dunno. The ginger people are just so gosh darn cute!!

Have you started your holiday cards yet? I'm startin' tonight. Yup, you read that right. I'm out for a crafty night with friends and I plan on getting lots accomplished. Of course I'll probably just end up chatting and eating goodies all night but that would be okay, too. I've got my snickerdoodle cups (or snickermuffins as my boss calls them) almost ready to go!

Monday, November 15, 2010

I was asked to make some holiday cookies for an event recently. It was a lot of fun and definitely got me into the holiday spirit! I am so ready to start my holiday baking... but it isn't even Thanksgiving yet. (insert sad face) I'm not letting it stop me, though. I'm testing out some new recipes and gadgets.

In addition to doing some baking, I've been busy with classes and kids but got a little "me" time to do some crafting for fun. I recently purchased this Martha Stewart Poinsettia punch and discovered it'll punch stiff felt! Wohoo!!! Thankfully I already had the holly leaf punch. That one's a little tougher to punch but it works! I knew that felt I picked up long ago would come in handy someday.

My class schedule page has been updated with a sample pic of the next class on Sunday, Nov 28th. Just so you know, this is my LAST CLASS for 2010!! I always take the month of December off. We'll be making 5 fun and creative gift card holders, including one that uses a Starbucks cup, which I'm sure you'll all use to hold a Starbucks gift card. And no, I didn't steal the cups. I asked for them. Except I forgot to ask for lids so I'm working on that. Duh me.

Okay, that's it for today. See ya later.

Movie Night Pajama Party

I wasn't able to participate in the Movie Night Pajama Party over on the A Muse Lounge last night but I still wanted to play along so I made my cards in a hurry this morning. You can still play along, too! You have until 8pm Pacific TODAY to create and post your challenge cards. For details, head to the Lounge!

The first challenge was present by Jennie. Her movie choice was Pirate of the Caribbean and her challenge was to create a card for a kid. Here's mine:

All papers and images © A Muse Artstamps

The second challenge was from Katie. Her movie choice was Dirty Dancing and her challenge was to create a card using colors from the poster she shared; light pink, dark pink, black and kraft (optional). The funny thing is, the card below is the card I actually created for Jennie's challenge. But after seeing Katie's challenge, I decided to use this for hers.

All papers and images © A Muse Artstamps

The third challenge was from Glenda. Her movie choice was one of my all-time favorite movies, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I really wanted to use my cruisin' stamp but I couldn't find it. I improvised by using the shopper instead cuz you know, Holly Golightly loved to window shop.

All supplies © A Muse Artstamps

Finally, the last challenge was by Geeta. Her movie choice was Some Kind of Wonderful and her challenge was to make a card that sparkled. You can't see it in this picture but I used some Pebbles, Inc. Shimmer Chalks to color my flowers after embossing them, then used some Glossy Accents and black glitter to create sparkly centers in the flowers.

Hope you'll be able to participate in these challenges yourself. Don't forget to share links to your fabulous creations in the lounge!

I'm done with Halloween!!

I'm so done with Halloween. I haven't decorated my house for it this year. I haven't even purchased any candy for the neighborhood kids! Blah. So not in the mood for it.

Instead, I'm perkin' myself up with some holiday designs! Course I'll probably be sick of that before Christmas but I don't think I'm gonna get out of putting up a tree! LOL
Seems like I'm just bypassing Autumn but I get much more enjoyment out of holiday cards than Autumn cards.

I'm in love with Colorbox Chalk Grey Whale. It's just the most lovely shade of light grey. Looks perfect with this Savvy reverse polka dot pattern. Add some red and it just brightens right up! The mittens were cut with my Slice and topped off with a white embossed snowflake from A Muse.

I've updated my class calendar to include November classes. I'm taking the month of December off. Hope to see you!!

It's Calendar Time!!

Join me this Sunday, October 17th, at Stampin-In-The-Rain at Bothell Country Village for my 2011 Calendar class. I'll have your own copy of the 4" square version of the A Muse Calendar for the class as well as everything you need to make your own calendar. Afterward, you can go home, kindly make your donation to Charley's Fund, and make some more of your own!! We are using a LOT of stamps in this project so if you've got time, swing by the store and let Kim know which stamps you want in order to have them before class. Otherwise, she'll take a wishlist after class is over. This class is always fun. Be sure not to miss it!

It's Calendar Time!!

Each year, for the past three years, A Muse has created a variety of calendars available for purchase with proceeds from the purchases going to a worthy cause. This year's cause touches the heart strings of every parent out there. This year's cause is Charley's Fund. To read more about what's behind Charley's Fund and learn how you can participate, please click this link. Won't you please help?

Usually I would create a monthly or yearly calendar project but this year I decided to make calendar cards! I used the mini version of the A Muse 2011 Calendar to create cards that signify a special day of the month like a birthday in January or the first day of school in September.

Be sure to visit the A Muse blog to see other great ideas shared by the Creative Team as well some very special guests. Let's bring Charley's dreams to reality!!

Are you my mummy?

When my youngest was younger we used to play the "are you my mommy?" game. I thought this would be a fun, simple card to share. The hardest part is stamping the sentiment and getting it on the two layers! I used a microfine pen to fill in what didn't stamp.

I'm so excited cuz I'm going to Impress tomorrow for a Making Memories Slice class. I'm going to get my Halloween on! I think we are playing with the new Toil and Trouble cartridge, which I do not own. Plus, I'll be with some peeps so that makes things even more fun!

You're Bewitching!

Halloween is not a big holiday for me. My kids don't even like to dress up. I might decorate my house a bit but never with witches or devils. I pretty much stick to pumpkins, maybe a spooky tree or a bat. This year, though, I've been having lots of fun crafting up cards to teach for some fun ladies that take my classes with all kinds of Halloween images. I've scoured card galleries, magazines, even catalogs for fun ideas. This card is based on one I saw on Splitcoast. I finally opened up my Martha Stewart Web Border Punch from last year and used it on some Onyx A Muse Cardstock. Looks so cool!

Anyway, I'll have some more Halloween goodies to share soon!

Baby Cards

So you remember I said I would post pics of the baby cards my sister asked me to make? Well, here they are. Nothing fancy, definitely clean and simple! My favorite style.....

Next up on the agenda....Halloween cards! I've been busy crafting away some Halloween goodness. Can't wait to share!

Baby stuff

My sister asked me to make a "photo thingy" for a high school friend of hers that just had a baby. We know it's a boy but he hasn't been named yet. Once I know his name, I'll add either his name or his first initial to the frame with some red chipboard, I think. Used some old denim paper in my stash of papers, a sheet of Basic Grey from the cupcake line, and some gingham paper from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl line. Found a box of K&Co chipboard with kiddie images on it so I picked out the train (he looks a little angry, doesn't he?) . I cut some clouds using a Quickutz die and some thin chipboard, distressed with a very light blue grey ink pad. I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

Soon I'll share baby card pics I made. One for a girl, one for a boy.

I've updated my class schedule. Doing a repeat of my In-Motion class (the first time was a great success!) and have a Halloween class coming around the corner.

Classes, classes, classes!!

I've got samples for my Christmas in July class on July 31 posted at Stampin-In-The-Rain. You can also see a sample by clicking on my 'Class Schedule' page.

I'll be dropping off samples for my 'In Motion' class taking place in August within the next few days. We'll be making interactive cards that feature movement in some form or another. You won't want to miss this one! Sample card posted on my 'Class Schedule' page (and below!).

Critters

I missed the Holiday Critters day so I'm posting this card instead. ** This card uses retired images**, which I didn't realize when I made it. I still thought it was cute and wanted to post it anyway since it uses a new sentiment. If you look closely, you can see the faint grey image of the fireplace stamp. Of course the mouse is a perfect addition to get the sentiment across. I love that mouse. I can't believe he's retired! Bring him back!! LOL

I'll be at Stampin-In-The-Rain tomorrow for a Teacher Garage Sale. Getting rid of some stuff...never enough room, even after purging a bit. I'm bringing in my Christmas In July card samples so you'll be able to see what we'll be making at the end of the month with new AMAP images.

Birch Trees

I love these new Birch Trees! You can create such a serene winter scene by using a pale color palette. On this card I stamped the birch trees using VersaMagic Wheat Chalk ink. I stamped Rudy in brown ink on a piece of scrap paper, then trimmed him out and popped him on with dimensionals. One thing you can't see on this card is the fine gold shimmer from my Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. I think I may go back and add a red micro twinkle dot to Rudy's nose, though. And don't you love this new sentiment? The font looks sort of vintage to me.

Bare branch, Spooktacular

I thought I'd take a little different twist with the fabulous new Cling Jack-O'Lanterns set from the A*Muse*A*Palooza release. I stamped the jack o'lantern faces with Colorbox white pigment ink and embossed with glow-in-the-dark embossing powder. Can't wait til it gets dark so I can see the faces glow!

And since I was out of town yesterday for the first day of amuse-bouches, I'm making up for lost time with this next card...

It doesn't show up well in this photo but the slate paper is actually mounted onto a natural white (vanilla) 4-bar notecard. I used both the new Bare Branch as well as winter tree to create a tree scene with a small crow flying away into the night. I used a 2nd generation inking method (you know, stamp off first, then stamp onto your cardstock) with winter tree so the bare branch pops out. I did the same with the circle as the moon, then added a bit of color with last year's fun sentiment stamped onto some orange crush.

I hope you've been enjoying the little tidbits so far. I look forward to checking out the A Muse news blog every day and seeing what my fellow Creative Team members are sharing. Thanks for stopping by!

Amuse-a-palooza

I won't have any amuse-bouche to share until Sunday night but please be sure to check the blogs of the rest of the A Muse Creative Team for peeks at the new stamps!

New look!

What do you think of the new look? Kinda cute...not sure if it's too distracting, though. I like a clean page but maybe it's okay for summer?

Haven't had much creativity lately but I did manage to view some card galleries and found some really cute punch ideas. I thought this one was really fun using a Marvy heart punch. I mean really, who looks at these things and thinks "strawberry"! Genius, I tell ya!

Happy Summer?

My kids are out of school a little early this year. Neighboring school districts are still in session. We are all so ready for summer but.....it's raining! Boo!!! Not the way anyone wants to start summer vacation. We've had a week full of sleepovers already but all indoors because it's so icky out. Rains in the morning and if we're lucky, clears up in the afternoon. I suppose we should be thankful for the afternoon clearing. Hopefully we'll get some more 'camping' in this year. I put that in '' because our version of camping is parking our camper in my SIL's driveway of her lake house in Easter WA. LOL! We pretty much just sleep in there.

Happy Summer!

Has anyone seen my mojo? I have lost it and cannot find it. Please return it if found. Thank you!

Sad news

I received very sad news today. An aunt has passed away this morning. It's very likely I will need to cancel my class on June 9 and reschedule it for another time so I can fly East to attend services once they have been planned for her. Thank you for your understanding.

More summer inspiration

I could really use some warm sun. Notice I added the word, 'warm.' Sometimes we get sun around here but it's not warm. I could really love an island vacation, too. I don't see that in my immediate future, though. I am, however, looking forward to the long weekend ahead. I hope it's filled with some warm sun.

For this card I played with my Slice and used the Under the Sea cartridge. I haven't had a chance to play with my Slice much, especially since I'm not having to design classes for it any more. I love these MS+ cartridges because you can cut a shadow around your image (in this case, sentiment) that fits perfectly! So cool!

For those of you traveling over the Memorial Day weekend, safe travels to you! Enjoy your extra day off and spend it with those you love.

Sunshine and Sparkles

Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. I've got a new class called "Sparkles and Sunshine" scheduled for Wed, June 9th. This is one of the cards we'll be making. It's also got some of the stamps being highlighted at A Muse during Summer Fun week. I love this sailboat...such a great stamp for guy cards. Sometimes I leave out the little sun in the big sail, especially if I'm going for a more mature look. Also showcased today is the new Wheat 8.5" x 11" paper. I was surprised to see how much I like this color. Very nice neutral! You must add this to your paper collection! a

Summer Fun!

Kicking off Summer Fun with this great, new A Muse 8.5" x 11" paper called Cobalt. It's a vibrant blue, perfect for summer images (and a great primary for kids, too!). I used it as my starry night here with with the pine tree silhouette as my background. A few yellow Twinkle stars and I've got the perfect starry night for camping outdoors!

Merci

A friend asked me for a thank you note. Believe it or not, I rarely make thank you notes.... I hope that doesn't mean I'm an ungrateful person! So I threw together this quickie card last night so she'd have a couple of options to choose from in my thank you card stash. I think this Wild Rose Branch and Rose have to be my two favorites from this last Everything's Rosy release. The images are great for any occasion.

When life gives you lemons....

I'm such a sucker for those stupid dollar stamps and they hardly EVER see ink. I was determined this would not be the case with my latest dollar stamp purchase. There are a lot of "when life gives you lemons..." sentiments but this is the first I've seen that actually says to drink it, LOL. So I had to get it.

Now the question is.....will it ever see ink again?

Teacher Appreciation

I have been drowning in baseball over the past week and haven't had any time to share more Everything's Rosy creations. No time to stamp, take pictures, or get them edited to share. I created this card a while ago and since it's the start of Teacher Appreciation week, I finally get to share it! Used my handy, dandy Slice to cut the apple and threw in some patterned papers from Sassafras Lass and Cosmo Cricket.

I'm teaching my Ocean Beauties class on Wednesday and I think there are a couple of spots left. You don't want to miss this one! Call Stampin-In-The-Rain directly for details.

Bare Branch

Had a great time at the Everything's Rosy party over at A Muse last night. Finally met Sparkle Smith in person...bonus! I love Sparkle's work and love to visit her blog.

Continuing the Everything's Rosy / A Muse birthday celebration, today's amuse-bouche is this fun Bare Branch stamp. I love the size of this stamp and the fact that the leaves trio is mounted on one end of the block. Perfect for multi-layered cards or a single layer like this one. Lime pearls add the perfect touch to the centers of the Daisy Duo flowers.

Hope you are enjoying your daily tasty tidbits from the A Muse Creative Team.

Happy

A Muse is celebrating their 9th birthday with the release of this very fun, new clear set called Happy Everything. I love this ginormous 'HAPPY' and especially love the font. The bonus is that there are all sorts of extra words to go with 'HAPPY'. By re-inking the 'e' in 'be' I was able to create the word 'bee' and put together this fun little card. By not inking the 'A' in 'HAPPY', I was able to position the letters so there was adequate space for my party hat sticker from EK Success (finally used something in my stash!) as the 'A' on the birthday card. See, so versatile! Definitely a must have.

The Dragon of Life

Celebrating A Muse's 9th birthday today with some stamps from a fun, new clear set called Vintage. Sadly, every one in a while A Muse has to retire some images to make room for new ones. For this year's birthday celebration, they created a new clear set bringing back a few old favorites (like snappy!!) with new sentiments. I love this one.

I've got 3 of my projects posted on the A Muse News blog today. Hope you get a chance to go check them out. I love my wine bottle tag hanger thingy. What DO you call those? And be sure to check my side bar to see what my peeps are sharing. Lots of fun things to see!!

Monday, April 26, 2010

Happy Birthday, A Muse!!!

This week is birthday week at A Muse. We are celebrating their 9th birthday!!! Wohoo!! Keep your eyes peeled as we celebrate over the next 9 days.

Just can't S T O P

I wasn't able to stop with the Woodland Critters! I only have a few more left to show you. This fun card was inspired by JulieHRR's card over here.

Ever wish the days were longer?

Okay, so maybe I don't really want the days to be longer but somehow I need more hours in the day to get all the things done that I need to. Seems like every time I think I can take a break I look at the calendar and see MORE stuff!! Ahhh!!! Doesn't help that my husband's back's been out the last few days. Normally he'd be splitting up the running around with me but instead, I feel like a chicken running with its head cut off.

Hopefully you aren't in the same boat as me but if you are, I hope your day is sprinkled with sparkles and sunshine. I know mine will be. Maybe not with actual sunshine (I think we are due to have more rain).....

Woodland Critters - I'm not done yet!

Since I was a little late to the party, I'm not done showing you all my Woodland Critters creations yet! Every time A Muse releases more 8.5 x 11" papers, I find a new favorite color. This time it's the Chiffon Yellow. I've decided it's so soft and sweet and perfect for spring cards! It also works so well with most of the other colors, too. I love having this 8.5 x 11" paper on hand cuz I can cut it to any size I need. No more chopping up notecards for me. Okay, well sometimes I still do that cuz I'm too lazy to pull out the paper but let's just keep that a secret.

I picked up some new EK Success punches yesterday. I am in L*O*V*E with the new daisy chain punch. You must have one for yourself! Emily used it here.

Woodland Critters - Simply Scent-sational!

While the Woodland Critters feature doesn't include any new stamps, it does include some fantastic new papers! Featured on this card is the new watermelon 8.5 x 11" paper. This stuff is just yummy!! The seedlings stamp was actually new for me and I had a lot of fun playing with it. Lots of options with this one! Pairs wonderfully with the cute little skunk, doesn't it?

All the new papers will be online today. Here's a tip: get them all! hee hee! No, really, I'm serious.

Woodland Critters - Spring is in the air

Stamps: 2-4122D Mushroom trio, 8-8535C Spring is in the air, 3-4079A Tiny butterfly

I've been on vacation for the past few days and have missed posting the first couple of days of the Woodland Creatures feature. Had a great time on the Oregon Coast but am happy to be back home, even though it's with a broken big toe. Yup, dropped a kitchen stool right on top of it and the darn thing is busted! Black and blue, purple, too. Blech. Very painful!

Today's post features the very cute and adorable mushroom trio, using the mirror technique. I inked the trio with my A Muse black dye ink, stamped it onto my rectangle bl stamp, then applied that to the right side of the white notecard. I went back over the lines with my Copic multiliner pen to make nice, clean lines. I then colored everything in and added the rest of the details.

Now I need to go spy on all the fun things I've missed since I've been gone. And unpack....

Some more Hero Arts

I just love this little Hero Arts bird. It's one of my favorite HA stamps. All the stamps you see in today's post are from Hero but all the paper you see is from A Muse. Cuz you know...Hero and A Muse make a GREAT pair! Behind the orange circle is a white circle. The green brad holds the two together. You can swing the front to the left or right to reveal your hidden message. I also created a little stand behind the white layer so the card can stand on its own. Just a cheery little note...

Now don't forget there's some prizes to be had! There's a chance here, here, and over on the Hero Arts blog.

A Muse/Hero Arts Designer Swap

Have you been browsing the A Muse News and Hero Arts blogs for the A Muse/Hero Designer Swap posts? Both teams have been doing a FABULOUS job!! I am a HUGE Hero Arts fan (next to A Muse, of course). Here's a card I posted on the Hero Arts Flickr group a while back.

Love this poppy stamp!! Can't wait to see and share more stuff!

You are my sunshine!!

The last couple of weeks have been interesting. I've been dealing with a sickie at my house, baseball season has started in full swing, and my older son's iPhone was stolen. These have all been a lesson in patience. It's left me little creativity or time to create but I did manage to squeak this card out before everything went crazy.

Wish I had something witty to say....but I don't. LOL
So I'll just say I hope you have a really good week and I'll try to get back on here before the week is over. Things can only go up from here....

It's raining again

Sorry about the poor photograph...it looks like my upside down umbrella is just floating in space but I promise there are waves out there!! Tiny bird is staying afloat by relying on his good friend, the umbrella as a boat. Yeah, I know he has wings and could probably fly away but let's pretend he's too far from shore to do that. He's just a tiny bird, you know! A good umbrella (symbolic for a friend here) will keep you from getting lost in the sea of life. Don't forget to use one once in a while!!! Okay...maybe that came out wrong. Don't use your friends! Just rely on them. LOL. Man, this has been a loooong week. I'm starting to lose it.

See you next season!!

Well, basketball season for my oldest son is coming to a close. We have our last game this weekend as well as our end of season party to recognize the players, coaches, and parents for all their hard work. Of course, I volunteered to make the coach's cards...one for the coach, one for the assistant coach. I found some REALLY OLD patterned paper in my stash that I thought looked pretty perfect for the job. It was also an opportunity to use up my stash of Stampin Up More Mustard paper. I used the Making Memories Slice Sports cartridge to cut out the silhouette of the player, then used a circle punch to punch out a basketball from some textured paper (also really old!). The stamps are from the CTMH set, Shootin Hoops.

This past Saturday's game was incredible! The other team was challenging, and really, they outplayed us. However, at the last second of the game one of our players was fouled taking a shot. We were behind by 2 and needed these foul shots. They cleared the floor and while all eyes were on him, our player sunk 'em both to tie the game!! Whew! He's my hero for the week.

Class schedules

I've updated my class schedule for March. Now you can also see a sneak peek of projects we will be making in class. Samples are already at Stampin In The Rain. Please note, you can view my class schedule by clicking on the 'class schedule' tab underneath my blog header.

No Slice class at Lasting Memories this month due to a visit by Making Memories with their own Slice classes. See you in April.

Bunny Bonanza! For Someone Special

I've been blessed to find many good friends in my life and thank goodness they all are great listeners! Sometimes you just need a sounding board to shoot off ideas, gripe about your problems, or chatter with excitement over something new. Everyone needs a friend who is all ears. Thankfully, I have several of them!

Did you see the fantastic new alterable Memory Mugs on the A Muse Blog? There's a chance you could win one! Check out this blog post. You have until 11pm PST tomorrow (Feb 16, 2010) to post your comment/entry.

Bunny Bonanza! Busy Bunnies

Not a favorite design of mine but you have to try something different once in a while, right? There's something new here that I do like though....did you notice it? It's a new 8.5 x 11" paper called Heather. It's a fantastic, soft purple that would really lend itself to some vintage/shabby chic styled cards, I think. I'll have to investigate that possibility a little further when it's not so late for me to be creating and posting. I love, love, love, this white core paper. It's great to emboss, then sand away to show the white through it.

Keep an eye on the Muses' blogs for more Bunny Bonanza ideas. I know Valentine's Day is right around the corner but you know Spring and Easter are right behind it! Man, where does the time go?

Home Sweet Home

Paper: Brown Paper Bag, black
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line, Basic Grey Lemonade line
Sentiment: A Muse Artstamps
Tools: Martha Stewart Lattice Border Punch, Red Liquid Pearls

I've been working on designs for my next 'Fun With The Slice' class at Lasting Memories. We've had a few schedule changes but it's now settled for Friday, Feb 19th. We'll be focusing on the 'Home Sweet Home' cartridge. Remember, if you purchase the highlighted cartridge and sign up for the class at the same time you'll save 25% off the cartridge price! I actually borrowed the store's cartridge to create these card samples and I've decided I need to buy one for myself. This cartridge is too much fun!!! I've hardly scraped the surface! Hope you can join me!!

Just sayin' hello (again!)

Todays card meets both Geeta's 'use it multiple ways' challenge and Glenda's 'Random Amusing Challenge' of the week. Glenda created a layout challenge so I thought I'd play along. I was gonna try and be all clever and turn the card on its side or something but decided the original sketch actually worked just fine for me. Why mess with a good thing, right? If you want to play along with Glenda's challenge, just click the link I provided above and follow the instructions provided on her post.

Someone left a comment on my blog looking for instructions on how to change the Slice setting from 'cut' to 'draw/emboss.' I created a little tutorial for this but am having trouble uploading it to Blogger. I think I have to download a program that will help me and just haven't had the chance to do that yet. I think my file is a little big and I don't know how to shrink it. In the meantime, go to your 'Settings' as if you were going to home your blade. Use your double arrow keys at the bottom and hit it until you see 'Cutting Mode'. Use your single arrow button to change the mode to your desired setting. Once you see your desired mode on the screen, just go back to the menu button and proceed as you normally would. Easy Peasy, Mac n Cheesy.

Now I'm off to the little league fields for a work party.

Hello again!

Here's another card using the 'hello!' sentiment from the Clear Labels Set. I created a grid pattern using my Scor-Pal after stamping the butterflies with Colorbox Chalk Cat Eyes. We've had a bit of sun around here (finally!) and it's putting me in the mood for spring. The weather's been unusually warm for this time of year and it's confusing all the plants and trees. I suppose we can thank El Nino for that.

I've got another sample to post tomorrow that also meets Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge. See you then!

Hello!

I love looking at online stamping galleries. You can get so inspired by the ideas that someone else creates. When I'm stuck in a rut, I turn to the galleries and just start out by CASEing a card. I can't remember exactly what CASE stands for but it basically means to copy the card and change a few things up. I found this wonderful card created by Laura Williams and thought, "Hey, I can do that with some A Muse stamps!" So I did. I cut some A Muse 8.5" x 11" lined paper into a 4-bar notecard size, stamped the flowers, the sentiment (from the labels clear set), distressed the edges, added some ribbon and silver Stickles.

Now the other cool thing about this card is it meets Geeta's challenge out on the A Muse Lounge. I'm going to be posting a couple more cards using this same sentiment. Her challenge was to create 5 cards and I've only completed three but we'll see how it goes over the next few days to see if I can get 5 done.
