Got a sweet tooth?

Stamps: 7-2672B candy corn, 8-8606C you are what you eat

How do you like this little candy corn image for your little sweet tooth? I absolutely love candy corn. I can't eat much in a sitting (probably a good thing) but I love that little bit of honey that you taste in those cuties. Sometimes I even get the Indian Corn with that hint of chocolate flavor in there. Brach's is my favorite brand. Gotta pick me up a bag soon. I stamped the candy corn onto some paper bag paper then colored them with my Prismacolor pencils. The color shows up really nicely. I used one of the labels from the frames clear set then stamped this new sentiment inside. Framed that onto some black paper that I cut out with my scalloped deco scissors and added a bit of some new black polka dot ribbon.

Only a few more sleeps until the big release....

Halloween Vintage Style

Stamps: 2-2640C crows, 2-2631A tiny cat, 2-7155C crooked fence, 2-4161J spooky tree, 8-8607C cats & crows

Another really neat image from the A Muse Halloween release is this awesome Spooky Tree. I love its curly branches and funky shape. There's something else new, too. You can't see them well in the picture but the ends of some of the branches have black twinkle dots on them. They're so cool!! You get 3 different sizes on one sheet of Twinkles. How do you like that new sentiment? One of my favorites...works so well with tiny cat and crows. I just used my handy dandy Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the crows on the branches.

Hope you're enjoying the appetizers so far. We're day 2 into heading toward release day, Sept 2. Can't wait that long? Check your local stamp store to see if they're carrying the new release. If not, ask 'em why not!

Crash!!!

Stamps: 2-2667F witches crash, 9-8605B Bite me

Summer is winding down, the kids go back to school on Wednesday, and I can feel the change in the air. I've seen the Halloween candy starting to appear in the stores as well as the costumes and Halloween home decor. Today starts off the amuse-bouches for the new A Muse Halloween release. Wohoo!! I love this witches crash image. You could have a lot of fun smashing her into trees, houses, buildings, whatever! I drew the tree freehand on the back of our woodgrain 8.5 x 11" paper, then cut it out and applied it to our new Slate 4-bar notecard. This new slate color is fabulous!!! Definitely a new staple in my collection!

You're a Champ!

I colored this cute little football player based on my own cute little football player...my oldest son! I love that the football league he plays for has purple and white as their colors because both my high school and college alma maters had purple as their colors (they were purple & gold). Just for fun I added some scrap strips of white paper as the yard lines and used my white gel pen to mark the line yardage. The new football player and the new sports clear set are going to be awfully handy in this household!!

Mandy's World - Balloon Girl

Stamps: 1-6135J Balloon Girl, 9-8587B Birthdays are the best

For today's card I used the new Balloon Girl from the Mandy's World line. Notice I just used the balloon part of the entire image, though. I love that I can do that! I don't have any of those Inchie squares but this portion of the stamp would look awesome on one.

Just a brief post from me today. I have a crazy day ahead but I'm looking forward to my son's first football practice this evening!

A Little Treat

Stamps: 3-SCWDSM School Words Clear Set, 9-8599B Thanks a bunch

I found this cute little pencil set in the dollar bin at Jo-Ann's. Underneath the lined paper, the actual tube is plain cardboard...perfect for altering! I thought it would be a cute little treat for a Kindergartner headed off to school. I don't have one of those so I guess this one will sit on my shelf. Not enough colors for my big kids. I used the new School Words Clear Set to decorate the lined paper with, then created a tag using an apple from the clear set along with one of the new wood mounted sentiments. There's one more new thing in this picture....do you see it? You've already seen the red polka dot ribbon but now there's yellow polka dot ribbon, too!!! Wohoo!

Mandy's World - Mermaid Girl

Stamps: 1-6134F Mermaid Girl, 9-8586B Fintastic Day, 2-4148C Sun, 3-4097C Waves, 3-ESOM Esential Ovals clear set

A Muse has done it this time! They've come up with something even cuter than anything I've seen before! Check out the new line of stamps called Mandy's World! Oh my goodness, this stuff is so sweet it'll make your tooth ache. One of my favorite images of this line is this adorable mermaid girl. Look at her just sitting on the beach, taking a little break from swimming, and totally enjoying the sunshine. Check out the A Muse blog later for details on the fabulous girl behind this line cuz she's just as sweet as the little girls she has created.

Tomorrow's post will be later in the day for me. I'll be heading over to Moses Lake this morning to check out my BIL's new place.
