Card Portfolio Class

Come join me on Saturday, April 23rd from 2-4pm for this fabulous Card Portfolio class. I'll teach you how to make the portfolio which holds 5 identical cards and envelopes. We'll have LOTS of fun and you'll walk out with the confidence to recreate this project on your own so you can keep this one for yourself and make more to give away.

Classes!!

I've updated my class page with my very first class at the A Muse Retail shop in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle. We'll be making 5 cards focusing on a couple of select sets in our new catalog. I can't wait to introduce you to our new products! You can "purchase" the class online via the A Muse webpage (link provided under class schedule page) or you can call the store directly. I'm working on adding an Easter/Spring class and already have a few other classes on the calendar for May.

One of my cousins has a husband who will be facing some surgery next week. I thought I'd make up a few cards to send as his recovery progresses. My cousin lives in a rural area of a small town in North Carolina so this is a little "country" themed. One of my uncles used to own some cows. He lives within a couple of miles from my cousin. I remember visiting when I was younger, and chasing after the cows in the meadow to see the mama cows and baby cows.

Hope he likes it. It makes me chuckle.

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about "opening day" of a*muse| studio!! I have had the pleasure of being associated with a*muse artstamps for several years now and am continuing my relationship with the new a*muse | studio as a home party consultant!! Wohoo! I've got a copy of the brand new catalog in my hot little hands and it's chock full of gorgeous samples, stamps, inks, ribbons, etc, etc. Everything you could possibly need to make your own beautiful creations is right here in this book!

I can't wait to be your go-to source for inspiration and a*muse | studio products! I am proud to say that many of my creations are in this catalog. I've tortured my poor family pointing them out several times. Please join me in this new and exciting adventure. Contact me to host a workshop and/or order product. New Hero Arts class

I've added a Hero Arts Greetings card class to my class schedule. This class will take place on Sunday, Feb 20th from 2-4pm. Kathy will be teaching a class before mine from 11a-1p so I'll be at the store by 1:30am in case she ends early and everyone is eager to get started. There's one sample posted on this blog page as well as one on the class schedule page. I hope you'll consider joining me. It will be fun to play with some new stamps.

I've been busy making lots of cookies, too. Here's a pic of some Valentine cookies I made recently.

The key and lips are new shapes for me and were so much fun to play with. I'm started to become addicted to making these cookies. I went to The Wooden Spoon in downtown Edmonds and spent a fortune purchasing a bunch more cutters. Can't wait to play with them!

Valentine classes

I've updated my Class Schedules page with two Valentine classes this month. The classes will be held back to back, with some time in-between for lunch. In the first class we will make Valentine cards using some favorite A Muse images and sentiments. The second class we'll be making 5 different Valentine treats that are easy to duplicate for giving. Class samples are already at Stampin-In-The-Rain so be sure to stop by and take a look!

These two classes will be my last A Muse classes at Stampin-In-The-Rain. Hope to see you there!

Moxie Fab World Challenge

I haven't been able to participate in a Moxie Fab World challenge for quite some time. I actually can't recall if I've even participated before, to be honest. This latest challenge, Glitter is Glam, was just one challenge I couldn't let slip by. I used a lot of scraps for this little tag, starting with some kraft paper and some paper from the Making Memories Noel line (I think) from last year. I used my Making Memories Slice to create the snowflake, then glittered it up with some Martha Stewart glitter after running it through my Xyron. The musical background is a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, a company no longer in business these days (sad face). The snowman and sentiment is a cute little Inkadinkado dollar stamp I picked up at Impress recently. Fun, fun, fun! I need to participate in these challenges more often!
